Comcast Center is resource efficient

  • Water saving innovations like high-efficiency low-flow fixtures throughout the building.

  • Models indicate the fixtures could save 4,950 gallons of sewage from entering Philadelphia’s sewer system every day – 20% less than a typical office building.

  • Drought resistant native plantings were selected to minimize the need to water exterior landscaping.

  • Reuse abandoned water tanks below the existing train station to capture rainwater for landscape irrigation, which was designed to accomplish a potable water reduction of 65% over a typical office building.
